Your Chooseday message
Resolutions rarely stick (sorry to disappoint you) – so don’t wonder why your good intentions on Jan 1 have dissipated – no matter how disciplined you are.
Resolutions are very often what you think others think you should be doing – or trying to change who you are into a different person.
You may achieve them, but it will most likely be at the expense of something important to you.Setting goals that you actually intend to achieve – now those are the ones that do work. Yes I know you know this – you probably tell others about this – so why am I talking to you about it?In the words of Zig Ziglar when asked if motivation works:
“People often say that motivation doesn’t last.
Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”
You eat food daily, you drink water daily, you wash daily (or that’s what I thought – and if you don’t, I’d rather be none the wiser about your daily ablutions!)
Just as our body needs nourishment, so too does our mind. If we want to achieve great goals – ones that scare and excite us, we need to feed our mind with good strong positive thoughts – every single day.
As your gift this Chooseday, to boost your motivation and give you some inspiration, I’m inviting you to join me for a FREE webinar (Kickstart 2012) tomorrow (Wednesday 25th January 2012) – simply click on this link to find out more.

That’s right.
Throughout your lifetime, most of you reading this will make
in excess of $1 million.
There’s only one problem.
It’s going to take you 20-30 years to achieve it on your
current yearly income.
Despite that, it’s still a lot of money.
The bad news is, like most people, you’ll spend it all – and
after a lifetime of earnings, you’ll probably end up with
nothing.
How is that possible?
Because no one teaches you about money, you probably received
no formal education in the most critical subject that your
whole life revolves around.
Did you ever attend a class called, Money 101?
Have you ever thought, why isn’t it compulsory to teach
children the fundamentals of money?
I mean, so many people talk about how they wish they learnt
the secrets of making money at school.
Let me tell you, it’s never going to happen.
Here’s why…
Schools as we know it today were built out of the industrial
age’s necessity to create a workforce for the industrial
revolution. Henry Ford saw to that, he was one of the
visionaries behind the current school system. The whole
curriculum that today’s society is built on is designed to
turn you into an employee (they’ve done a good job of that,
haven’t they?).
Nothing more, nothing less.
There are some folks out there who foolishly believe they can
change the school system and introduce more life-skills like
“understanding how money works and operates.”
Forget it.
My suggestion is, put the oxygen mask on yourself first and
forget about changing the system.
Let me ask you a question.
How did you learn about money?
Most likely you picked it up a piece here, and a tip there.
You absorbed attitudes from your parents, peers and the
media.
You proceeded through trial and error and learnt through the
school of hard knocks. What you learnt was probably
haphazard, mostly wrong and certainly out of context.
The end result usually is overwhelmed by the whole subject of
money. Confused and frustrated – you do the unthinkable…
and that is you put your financial future in the hands of
somebody with a suit who smells good, looks good but has
absolutely no idea about making money (financial
professionals).
Here’s an example of what I’m talking about – and how
ridiculous our system is, and effectively what you’re up
against.
Let’s call Person A, Bob.
Now, Bob is a bona-fide millionaire trader. He makes a living
out of trading the market every day.
Now you meet Bob at a BBQ and in conversation you find out
that he’s a full-time trader. You of course are interested,
and you ask Bob for a tip.
Bob casually obliges and says to you that he’s looking at BHP
at the moment and he’s going to enter a trade on Monday
morning if all the signals are right.
You take that on, because you respect Bob’s history,
background and the fact that he’s been making a full-time
living trading the market for the last 10 years.
Monday comes around and you take the trade based on Bob’s
advice. Now of course Bob never told you to trade the stock,
you were just having a conversation. Anyway, after 3 days of
being in the trade, you’ve lost 10% of your money and you get
out of the trade.
No big deal, not every trade is a winner.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because based on the way our system is currently run – you
can actually sue Bob for giving you financial advice without
a license. Despite the fact that Bob is a multi-millionaire
from trading.
Now consider this, imagine Bob was not a hard-core trader,
but a financial planner 6 months out of school. He’s never
traded a share before in his life and he gives you the same
information.
Let’s assume the same thing happens on the trade and you lose
some money. Well guess what, you can’t sue the financial
planner because he has a license.
The moral of the story… Results are meaningless when it
comes to giving advice. Degrees, diplomas and process are all
that matters. It doesn’t make sense, right?
That’s why you can’t franchise your wealth-building to
financial planners and accountants. You’ve got to take on the
role yourself because at the end of the day it’s your money
and no body is going to care about it as much as you.
I know I’m on a rant at the moment, but if I estimate the
amount of money that has been lost in the last 12 months by
financial planners and institutions – it would be in the
billions… and yet nobody has gone to jail and no massive
court cases.
The poor little investor at best, gets 5 cents in the dollar
(if that) and is scared for life when it comes to investing.
Your money – your responsibility.
Don’t get sucked in to “guaranteed” returns, especially those
that promise 5-8% a month.
I’ve heard so many tragic stories of late of people who have
poured in hundreds of thousands of dollars into such schemes.
The best insurance you can build against being ripped off is
investing in your own education.
Ultimately, this is the highest payoff.
But if you’re going to give money away to a 3rd party, here’s
my rule… “Only ever invest what you can afford to lose.”
If that’s $5,000, so be it.
If it’s $25,000 – that’s cool too.
But always know in the back of your mind that investments
like this are highly-speculative and risky.
Do yourself a favour and invest in your own education – I’ve
been doing it for years and it’s the best return of money
that I’ve ever received.

Things going well for you?
Are you traveling well at the moment? Do you have momentum?
What I have discovered with many of my clients is that this is the time when you need to stay on track with coaching – to maintain the momentum and keep focused.
If you were to eat really well for a few days, possibly even more than you absolutely need, but all great protein and fresh fruit and veg – and then stopped eating completely – how long would that energy last?
It’s when you’re eating well that you should plan the next week’s meals so that you stay on track.
EvolveDynamic Life and Business Coaching is really a “food program” for the mind – when things are going well is when you need to keep topping up to make sure the “travelling well” lasts and gets even better.
Going without, losing focus and then trying to get back on track again takes much more effort and time than maintaining the good stages and gaining more momentum. When you simply do the right things when you feel you need them, there is a risk that you have a roller coaster ride – great highs, lows, and then cycling in between. The aim of life coaching is to keep the momentum, smooth out the bumps and get you more of the highs and less of the low.

Scoopons, Groupons, Living Social or whatever voucher you use!
Do you use Scoopons, or Doupons, or Living social – or Groupons? Or whatever other voucher system is in your area?
This morning, our bedroom and my office were turned upside down, to clear the carpet to be cleaned professionally. The guy arrives to clean them – I show him the carpets and he tells me the stains probably won’t come out. Why, I wonder, am I getting them professionally cleaned if they won’t come out clean?
On chatting to him further I ask if he is the owner of the business – yes, and if he has found that these vouchers give repeat business. No, he says, they normally go off and get the next voucher when they next need their carpets cleaned – so he hasn’t found any repeat business.
I have used these vouchers several times for a variety of occasions. Some providers give an outstanding experience. I took a voucher for a full body massage, pedicure, manicure and facial with a spa in Perth city centre. What an awesome experience. They treated me like royalty! And when I left I got a voucher for the next time I go back there.
The massage was outstanding, the facial top notch – and the pedicure – lets say that paint stayed on my toenails longer than many others have!
Will I go back there? Most definitely – they treated me like a valued customer.
What they also did right is get all my details including my email address. Now, while I havent’ heard from them yet, when I do I will be interested in whatever they have to offer.
Another voucher for pedicure and manicure – the lady giving it talked non-stop throughout the appointment, told me how the Living social team only pays them when the end of the voucher period arrives – so if the voucher expires at the end of December, they only get their money in January.
So if you’re a business wondering whether to use these vouchers as part of your marketing campaign, here is my advice (take it or leave it!)
- make sure you have a marketing campaign around this – have a system for capturing email addresses and contact details for your new prospective clients,
- recognize that it may cost you money – just like any marketing campaign will.
- Treat each voucher recipient as a new customer – treat them like royalty and they will return for repeat business
The franchise owner who cleaned my carpets this morning left without asking me for my email address. Golden opportunity – I was happy with the service – I even asked him for a quote to clean the other 3 carpeted rooms – which he gave me verbally and still didn’t ask for my email address.
Yes, he handed me some brochures and a magnet for my fridge (good one) – but they were for their other product line which is restoration cleaning.
The 1970’s houses are ugly, I’m certainly not paying money to restore it – it’s going to be all about renovating it!

The end of one year, the start of another!
It’s December 31st, 2011. What a great time to set new goals!
At the end of each year I love looking back and reflecting on what has happened. I thought I would share some questions with you that you could ask yourself because the quality of your questions determine the quality of your life.
You can either ask questions like “where did I go wrong?” or “why have I failed?” or you can ask yourself “what do I really want?” or “what went right?”
Like going out into the darkness – you can shine your torch on anything you choose – and whatever you illuminate with the beam of your torch will determine what you see. Funny that!
So here are some great questions that you can use to create the life you really desire. Most of these have been influenced by the books I’ve read. “Best Year Yet”, by Jinny Ditzler is one of my favourites for this time of the year. Or if you’d like to have a very quick goal setting workbook, then visit www.goalachieverworkshop.com and download my free ebook: The path to Achieving (unbelievable) goals.
Ask yourself:
What have I done particularly well in 2011?
Which goals have come about?
What interesting curve-balls came along?
What have I learnt?
Where do I want to be this time next year? (both physically and emotionally?)
What parts of my life am I happy with, and which parts would I like to change?
What do I really, really want?
Once again I am reminded how important it is to set goals that you’re passionate about. My mentor Bob Proctor talks about getting emotional about your goals – and if a goal is “scary and exciting” then it’s a good one for you! If you’re not excited about a goal that you set, then it’s probably a great goal for someone else, but might not be a good goal for you.
One of my favourite “Scary and exciting” goals of 2011 was to get 4-time bestselling author, the Millionaire maker: Loral Langemeier to Perth. Setting the goal early in August and getting her here in front of a room full of people in mid-September did cause some anxious moments, but it was a lot of fun and very successful. More importantly I have seen how it has already benefitted the businesses of several people who attended.
Another goal was to get the Dynamic Mastermind Alliance started. After numerous requests to introduce clients to other successful people in the area, and to set up a mastermind conversation to the benefit of it’s members. We have one group running in Perth so far, with more to begin in April.
Who are the members of the Dynamic Mastermind Alliance? Business owners who are keen to connect with each other, make a difference by sharing their expertise – and discover the quantam leaps that come from masterminding with others – each leaders in their own areas. The Dynamic Mastermind Alliance will be opening up a new international group that will meet on skype monthly. If you would like to know more, please email me on jill(at)evolvedynamic.net.
I would like to wish you a very happy New Year – and the very best of 2012. It will be a year just like any other, unless you change your goals! So if you’ve been happy with all the other years, then you’re probably on the right track!
Kind regards
Jill

Happy New Year!
The last day of 2011 is upon us – and once again I wonder where the year has gone!
Do you remember when our parents used to lament how quickly time flies? Surely we’re not that age already?
My New Year’s message for you is to keep it simple – and get what you want!
If your car is empty (needing fuel) – do you spend hours pondering over what went wrong when it was younger to cause it to need petrol?
Do you decide to simply press on and not worry about filling it with petrol (my husband might tell you that I have on occasion done this – never run out of petrol but it came close!) – or do you simply fill the tank up at the next opportunity?
How often have you ignored the little red light that comes on warning you that you don’t have much fuel left in your tank?
I love deep thinking – but I do think there is a time and place to keep things really simple – and simply put into your life what you need. Time and time again I hear people saying it’s their limiting beliefs that are holding them back. Now that you know your limiting paradigms have held you back, you can change them! By repeating them, you’re making the decision to hold yourself back rather than move forward!
If you are tired, sleep. If you are hungry, eat. Decide what you want, and go out and get it.
If you want to get fit, then strap on your trainers and get outside! Or put your bathers on and head for the beach (for my friends in the southern hemisphere.) If you’re in the northern hemisphere and it’s snowing, then hit the slopes and enjoy the snow!
If you’re not feeling healthy, then go and see a naturopath or homeopath (at least see a qualified medical person who will look at your body as a whole) – and get an action plan to become more healthy.
If you’re not happy then decide what it would take to make you happy – and do it. (Clue- it’s an inside job).
If you’re frustrated by those around you, make a decision to either change your attitude towards them or move away.
If you’re feeling lonely – then start with getting connected to yourself and your maker in a positive way – then go and make a difference to others.
When is now a good time to make a decision to live the life you really desire?
You can either spend hours upon hours trying to find the causes of problems in your life, or you can simply spend a bit of time deciding what a great solution would look like.
By focusing on what you want, not what you don’t want, you will get exactly that. As Napoleon Hill tells us in “Think and Grow Rich”: ” Whatever idea is held in the mind, whether feared or revered, will clothe itself in the nearest physical equivalent”.
Decide what you want, and take the actions that you need to take to get it. Don’t wait for someone else to change, or to do it for you – you’re the only one you can control – you’re the only one that can take the actions you need to take.
It’s all up to you – make it a great New year!

Have you ever had a bad attitude? by Bob Proctor
Victor Frankl once wrote, “Everything can be taken from a person but one thing: the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s attitudes in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Frankl was right. Attitude is a choice. You could be faced with a thousand problems, many or most over which you have absolutely no control. However, there is always one thing you are in complete and absolute control of and that is your own attitude.
When you surrender control of your attitude to what appears to be a negative situation, you will react to that situation. More often than not, reacting is inappropriate. On the other hand, if you were to remain objective, you would respond to the situation appropriately, thereby creating a winning situation.
If attitude is such an important word, why do so few people understand it? To be honest, it wasn’t until I was in my late 20s when I finally understood its full impact. All through my teens and into my early adult life, I can’t tell you the number of times that I heard, “Bob, if you’d just change your attitude, you would do a lot better.” In retrospect I can easily see the cause of my problem. I didn’t know what attitude was, let alone know how to change it!
Attitude is the composite of your thoughts, feelings and actions. Your conscious mind controls feeling and ultimately dictates whether your feelings will be positive or negative by your choice of thoughts, then your body displays those choices through action and behavior.
Attitude is actually a creative cycle that begins with your choice of thoughts. You do choose your thoughts and that choice is where your attitude originates. As you internalize ideas or become emotionally involved with your thoughts, you create the second stage in forming an attitude; you move your entire being – mind and body – into a new “vibration.” Your conscious awareness of this vibration is referred to as “feeling”.Your feelings are then expressed in actions or behaviors that produce the various results in your life.
Positive results are always the effect of a positive attitude. Attitude and results are inseparable. They follow one another like night follows day. What I mean by that is: one is the cause, the other, the result. There is a term we use to distinguish this “cause and effect” relationship, it is called The Law of Cause and Effect. Simply stated, if you think in negative terms, you will get negative results; if you think in positive terms you will achieve positive results. Ralph Waldo Emerson reiterated that same point when he said, “A person is what they think about all day long.” The results you achieve in life are nothing more than an expression of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Take a close look at your life and evaluate the results you are achieving in various areas. See if you are able to relate your attitude to your results.
Winning and losing are opposite sides of the same coin – and that coin is attitude. There are many things wrong in this world; unfortunately that is all some people are able to see. Those who view the world in this light are often unhappy and somewhat cynical. Usually, their life is one of lack and limitation and it almost appears as if they move from one bad experience to another. I know people who are like this and I’m certain you do as well. It would appear as if they were born with a streak of bad luck and it has followed them around their whole life. These individuals are quick to blame circumstances or other people for their problems, rather than accepting responsibility for their life and their attitude.
Conversely, there are others who are forever winning and living the good life. They are the real movers and shakers who make things happen. They seem to go from one major accomplishment to another. They’re in control of their life; they know where they are going and know they will get there. They are the real winners in life and their wins are a matter of choice.
You can experience that kind of life as well, you only need to decide. Making that simple decision is the first step to a new life. Dorothea Brand once said, “Act as if it were impossible to fail,” and I challenge you to do so. By simply becoming aware that you can choose your thoughts each and every day, you will change your entire outlook. You have the power to choose an abundant life no matter your circumstances. That active choice will allow other positive people and opportunities to be attracted into your life. Don’t wait to experience all the wonderful things the universe has in store for you. Start today by working on your attitude and welcome the abundant life that you were meant to lead.
To your success,
Bob Proctor
